Tic-Tac-Toe is a game for two players. It is also known as Crosses and naughts in some countries, because typically one player uses the X symbol, and the other player uses the O (naught) symbol. The game is played on a 3x3 grid. The aim of the game is to get 3 tokens in a row to win the game.
Below is an example game. It is the turn of the player with the O token, and he will lose regardless of which move he picks, because the X player has two ways of making 3 in a row (first row, or first column), and only one of them can be blocked by the "O" player.
When you create a game, you can chose to play either against another player, or against the computer. The difficulty level of the computer player is changed by clicking the COMPUTER button. By default, the Computer players level is NORMAL, which is of average difficulty. If you want an easier game, chose NOVICE, or for a tougher challenge, chose EXPERT.
You place your token on the board by clicking/touching an empty square. If either player gets 3 in a row (vertical/horizontal or diagonal), he wins the game and scores 2 points. If all squares are taken, and there neither player has 3 in a row, the game is a draw, and each player gets one point. You can click on the Rematch button to play a new game. The player who went second in the previous game will go first in the new game, and his token will be "X".
