Classic card games

Yes, the focus is on board games here, but seeing "Classic" Uno reminded me that just because there's no cardboard involved, card games shouldn't get short shrift. Uno is of course one of the all-time greats, but Mille Bornes, Pit, and Rook are deserving of attention. Innovative card games like those paved the way for huge hits like Magic: The Gathering, the Pokemon trading card game, and others.
